22 Hi Power

The 22 Hi power is a good gun but not around any more in the United States. The 22 Hi power was invented by Roy Weatherby. (Terminal Ballistics Research) This gun was designed by Charles Newton. Each one of the bullets for the 22 Hi power had 70 grains of powder. This gun is still considered a gun used for small game. Back when it first came out it was used for medium sized game. This gun deliverers 2750 fps. It is almost the same as a 223. (Terminal Ballistics Research) The history goes back to 1912. In 1912 was when the first gun was released. The only brand that makes the 22 Hi power is savage. The model is the 22 Hi power 99. This gun is still available only in Europe.  

Marlin 22

The Marlin 22 was one of the best guns, and it still is today. Marlin is different than a lot of other companies and how they were made. The History of the Marlin 22 goes back to the 1960’s. The Marlin company is well known for making the 22. That means it has been around for 57 years. The company also has been the number one selling company for 22’s. This company his made 11,000,000 rifes in 57 years. That means they made 220,000 a year! It also means that they make 602 rifles per day too! The barrels that Marlin make are all steel. The old barrels on the 22 were originally 22 inches long. But the newer once are 18 inches long.(Why it and will alway be a great rifle.) Another very cool feature that Marlin makes is that the barrels do not rust. Other companies still have not figured this out. Also in the barrels of each gun is that they have Micro Grooves inside the barrels.(Why it and will Always be a great rifle.) These Micro Grooves help the gun have more accuracy.

 

Reminton 22        

Did you know that Remington was not just a gun company. They actually made typewriters too. The first typewriter that Remington made was in the year of 1873. (The shooter’s Log.) The founder of Remington was Eliphalet Remington. Eliphalet Remington was only 22 years old at the time when he had made typewriters. He was not the only one when he got into the gun business he had helpers their names were Samuel Colt, Samuel Colt was the person that invented the colt guns. So he had some experience with making guns.(The shooter’s log.) His other helpers were Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson. He had made the Smith and Wesson guns. The company logo stands for The Future of History American inGenuity. On the date of August 9th the metal on the barrels were all sponsored by Union Malplic Metal Company.

 

What is the 22 used for           

The 22 is the most popular gun that is in the United States. This is such a popular gun because most young shooter like this gun, because it is for mostly learning. This gun is only used for small game hunting, because they found out that many poachers using them for hunting animals such as deer. The reason why they used it for poaching is because it is very quiet. But the problem is that it does not have a lot of power. To kill a deer with this gun it must be a very well placed shot.(The .22 LR for Hunting and Survival.) This is another good gun for target shooting, because when you go to the range you are not going to go broke, because the rounds are cheap. This gun is only used for small game and target shooting. The Henry 22

 

The Henry .22 is a very good gun and goes back pretty far back. The Henry 22 is a gun that is more expensive, because of what it is made of. The stock on this gun is made of walnut. When you see old western movies, they are usually carrying a Henry product. The cost of this gun expensive, but you are getting you money's worth with it. The overall cost of this gun today is $360.
